Last night before I jumped off into Slumberland
AT 10PM I received an SMS, and I got so happy. You know straightaway after this summit, to be told that my DARLING TEAM has already gotten a lot done for Orientation Fair, I feel really glad. I don't know, I just can't put it in words. I probably slept with a smile.
And then, I woke up this morning thinking of assembling at the MPH. What's worse was, I didn't even intend to wake up so early. My, this is so getting to me. I almost teared when I saw the paper with the well-wishes. Somehow things didn't feel so right today, and I screwed training up again.
Those four days were just amazing. If I were to spell it out clearly, it wouldn't be enough. For your information, I'm really campsick right now. What had seemed dreadful to me a while ago turned out so much better. It was definitely a lot more glamorous than it's big name. (If you didn't know, it's the Legendary Leaders Summit) Camps somehow always end up like this but this one felt so special. Apologies if this is so anti-climax to my last post, I was pretty much dying over there.
The first day there was horror for me.
Okay, pause, first HALF of the day. I mean, nobody else was with me, and I felt like a loser. Well then after the introductory session I felt better I guess. Just about everybody was kinda in the same plight. All we had to do were to make friends, aye? & so C4 was formed, (:
Sleeping and bathing on the first day was plain uncomfortable. But then the days go by and it felt like a normal thing to do; bathing at campsite bathrooms and sleeping on wooden floors with the mozzies. That's what made it all the more worthwhile, enduring these together. Meals were the funniest, if I can say.
Achtung! Sitting opposite jokers can get you choked.
Second day was more outdoorsy. We went through the CRC but all I did was the broken bridge thingy, I feel hopeless man. Anyway, C4 was really great and all. Kayaking with Ivy was the blast! Hahah. She instigated a capsize but I was violently objecting to it. Then after much persuasion I decided to go for it and I realised nothing was really too difficult if you make the effort to try? We ended up doing it twice. Oh something really funny happened. We did a raftup and it sorta floated towards the mangrove. I, being the one at the end,
kena-ed the branches first and apparently there were these small spiders that decided to hitch a ride on my kayak. Wth gross. Approximately 20 of them. You know, total desperation calls when you actually have to bear with it and sit in the spider-infested kayak for more than half an hour. Only thing was when we stood up I kept staring to see if the spiders would actually jump off, and that move seriously threatened me off the kayak. Ah, the only thing I didn't really like was abseiling. I was so afraid that I'd just let go of myself and fall flat.
Third day was interesting. They had us up at 4am thinking it was a fire drill. Then we realised it was a trail, and it was just you, trees and more trees. Okay at that time I wasn't really thinking of anything else, so I hope I didn't meet with anything :/ It was mostly the mud that freaked me out, simply cause
I have no more socks left. Alright then whole thing was over and we just went back to the campsite for more activities. There was a Fiesta in the evening and it was whole loads of fun, except I felt quite shagged already. It was an activity where you attach a piece of paper with your big name on it behind you and people get to write. So then there'll be surprises when you read those. How sweet (:
Fourth day was mainly farewell. It was hard to bid goodbye of course, but then we're really sure that we'd have an outing soon enough. When I stepped out of the campsite, I knew there was still a long way to go. It's only the beginning if I must say.
C4's BOOM DYNAMITE! 'll miss you all,ALOT. <3COOKIES FOR C4! (They're my favourite subway cookies.)
